Happy Sunday! I’m feeling all kinds of positive today. I’ve got so many new ventures to share with you over the coming weeks. Throwing myself into blogging has meant I have been lucky enough to meet an array of amazing people. One being Kirsty from labelsforlunch, fellow blogger, my personal choreographer (I will perfect those hair flicks) and taker of these wonderful photos. Another being Ayaan from Street Art Margate. On this very day I met up with Ayaan to discuss the wonderful backdrops that I use for my shoots. You see, she a big part of keeping Margate wonderful. She organises phenomenal street artists, such as Inkie and Hannah Chloe to come and decorate this wonderful place. Not only is she a phenomenal arty type, that FYI, I am totally in ore of (I can’t draw to save my life), she is also all kinds of lovely. It would be amazing if you clicked on the link and liked her page.
The Metallic Shoes
Right onto the fashion! I am totally in love with these shoes from Office. The magpie in me was drawn to them as I casually walked round Office Shoes. They are only £30, which I thought for such a stand out shoe, was an absolute bargain bonanza. I literally haven’t had them off my feet since purchasing, they receive so many compliments from complete strangers (I do love a good stranger compliment). A little boy I know know calls them my Strictly shoes, which I absolutely love. The best thing of all is they are super comfy. They are advertised as a flatform but to me the sole doesn’t seem too raised, which makes them an everyday shoe (yippee). When I tried them on they seemed a little big, (at this point my heart sunk) however a sneaky insole soon sorted this problem out. They go with everything, thats the beauty of metallics. I’m considering buying them in silver too, what do you think?
The Three in One Bag
Okay so I’ve featured this bag from Mulberry before, so I’ll be quick. It’s the bag of dreams, you can wear it three ways, the nappa leather is to die for, it’s the perfect size and to be quite frank, it never leaves my side. In my opinion if you’re going to invest, invest in a designer handbag. They only ever go up in value, especially Mulberry. I bet you didn’t think I could get to the point that quick, did you? Be honest?
The Fuzzy Pom Pom
So faux fur pom-poms are everywhere at the moment and I am absolutely loving this trend. What’s not to love? Furry, colourful and cute. Guaranteed to brighten up any bag or set of keys. I spotted this pom-pom from Helen Moore England at a Fenwick’s event. I was searching for my Mum, (who had done her normal disappearing act) when I saw a pile of colourful fluffiness. It took me an embarrassing amount of time to decide which colour to get (so many wonderful pastels). Her faux fur is of a superb quality so the £27 price tag is justified. My furry friend has been caught in a number of rain showers recently, it still comes back looking like a dog at Crufts. I can’t wait to purchase another faux fur item from her. Have you seen the pom-pom shoe clips? SWOON!
The Easy to do Nails
I’ve always been an expensive nail polish kind of gal, I was under the belief that they applied easier, lasted longer and were just better. Well I was wrong! This Rimmel 60 seconds super shine nail varnish in Bestival Blue is an absolute dream. It was super easy to apply and it finished like I had been for a pro mani, all this for under £3. It’s fair to say I have already been stocking up on a number of other colours.
The Luxe Joggers
So you all know by now that i’m team bare legs, but this freezing cold weather has had me searching for a fun leg cover up. I have found the answer in the form of these luxe joggers, from French Connection. This pair have sold out now but I have linked a similar version. These joggers are super soft, comfy and can be dressed down or up. I’m thinking that I would pair them with flatforms and a crop top for a night out and they would totally rock, right? As they are tapered at the ankle this night look would be completely possible. The cobalt blue colour is super vibrant, which also makes them so much fun. I went a size down as the elastic waist and the relaxed fit made them on the generous size.
The Faux Fur Jacket
If you are following me on Instagram, I am so sorry for the overload of this jacket. I just can’t get enough of it. My Mum got it for me in the Topshop sale, she proceeded to tell me she used to have one like it in the 70’s. Errrrm, why she didn’t keep any of this mystical clothes is beyond me. Anyway, it is not on their website anymore however I have seen it on the sale rail in a number of Toppers. Get yourself down there quick if it takes your fancy. I can’t quite believe myself when I say I think it was £30, seriously, how cheap? It is so warm and animal print goes with everything!!
The Goes with Everything Jumper
…… and so does this jumper. The jumper from River Island has also been featured before (look at me wearing clothes more than once, shock horror). I have this jumper in a number of colours now. The wool blend is just too snuggle to only have one. What would I do when this one is in the wash? These jumpers are now in the sale from £15, I’d invest now! I’m sure you will still get plenty of wear out of them this season, as the cool weather isn’t showing any signs of budging.
The Make me Look Clever Glasses
I have always wanted glasses, I used to try and fake the eye test as a little girl, only to be told I had perfect vision. So you can imagine my delight when I was told that my eyesight had deteriorated, ever so slightly. I know this is an awful statement to make but it’s true, sorrynotsorry about that. Being obsessed with eyewear, I knew the style I wanted and this Prada pair fitted the bill. They are as solid as glasses go, they suit everyone that has tried them on (that is a lot of people) and make you look clever. What’s not to love?
I’d love it if you’d go and follow me on Instagram, I’m so close to a 1000 followers. I’m going to throw a 1K party and you’re all invited. If that isn’t an incentive then what is?
As ever I’d love to hear from you, leave a comment and i’ll be right back in touch.
