The Story – A Diary Entry (sometime last week)
Oh hey guys, well my poor blog has been a bit neglected recently. I’ve been all kinds of busy recently, which means I’ve got so much to share with you (silver lining right there). I wrote this last week so thought I would share it with you ThrowbackThursday style.
The Story Continues…..
Wowzers my trousers, what a day it has been. I am currently sat on a plane to Milan and thanks to the wonderful British Airways I’m starting to feel a bit more relaxed (Gin is firmly in hand). The amazing cabin crew have already been in convo with me over the Sophia Webster Riko High Tops. Half an hour previous to this I got majorly distracted, first by Mac, a new lipstick is compulsory when going through an airport (am I right?). Then by Prada, Chanel, Mulberry, you get the picture (shopping at Heathrow is so good).
Then I looked at the board and my flight was closing, SHIZA! “Right ok, It’s not a problem as I’ll pelt it down the stairs and all will be well.” I thought to myself. Oh no no no, there was a train, a number of escalators and then a few sprints in the wrong direction. It’s fair to say that I need to get back to the gym. My name was called, I was escorted to the plane, the whole palaver (Thanks BA for being so super kind). Dad if you’re reading this, I’m sorry, Mum, stop thinking how proud you are of me, I nearly missed my flight.
A New String To My Bow
So you’re probably wondering why you’ve already viewed a few pictures of my beloved Canterbury? Well, all this traveling has made me realise how incredibly lucky I am to live where I do. Don’t get me wrong, the world is an incredible place but I am truly smitten with Canterbury. I moved here just over 4 years ago, at first I was worried about how I would adapt to a city that seemed far less vibrant than my then love, Leeds. Since then, Canterbury has evolved, lots of new independent eateries and bars have opened, and to be quite honest it has brought the city alive. Canterbury now has a buzz about it. There is never a day when the city isn’t busy, filled with people brunching, lunching and meeting for after work cocktails.
With this in mind, justauniform.com is going to be adding another string to its bow. Over the coming months I am going to be taking you on a tour of my City, adding a food and lifestyle section to the blog. I will be filling you in with all the best places to eat and drink in Canterbury. All the posts will focus on independent retailers. Just like my fashion, I like my socialising and eating to be individual too (no chains here). Most importantly you’ll get to find out where all those #instafood pictures come from.
Do you live in Canterbury or near by? Where do you love to eat and socialise?
Are you planning a visit to Canterbury?
Get in touch, I’d love to hear from you.
