Rose tinted glasses

Happy Sunday you lovely lot. I’m currently on my second coffee, in my stripy Colgate pyjamas (you remember that advert right?) and snuggled next to the best cat in the world. Yes that’s right Sox you’ve featured on my blog, you’ve totally made it, you fluffy bundle of joy. So basically I’m in a super happy place right now. Over the past few shoots I have learnt a valuable lesson………. shooting in the Winter is tricky! Yes, the weather is literally the most powerful force, the BBC weather app is my life right now! Last blog post myself and my photographer had gale force winds and this week we had torrential rain. Thank goodness I know all the good coffee and cake places, otherwise this would be a selfie only zone.

I am absolutely loving the colour in this shoot, this street is my all favourite in Canterbury. The lovely old lady that lives in this house was thrilled that we were using it as a backdrop, thank goodness as it could have been totally awkward when she came out as we were shooting.

The hot pink skirt is from River Island, I featured the baby blue version a while back. I love the cut of this skirt and for a mini it is extremely flattering, the suede like material is also a winner, therefore ordering it online seemed to come with no risk at all. When I received it though I wasn’t sure on the colour, it appeared more baby pink online so the brightness was somewhat of a shock, even for a colour lover like me. I kept it in its packaging for a while, humming and haring whether to take it back. Well it has totally grown on me now and it is sat pride of place next to its baby blue cousin. Plus I will be wearing this all the way through to Spring and Summer.

The skirt costs £28 and for the quality it is a bargain. If the bright pink is a bit too much for you, the grey version is in the sale at £15 which really is hard to resist. Race you to the online shopping till?

Moving on to the front zip ankle boots they are from Truffle Collect at ASOS. I have never purchased form this brand before so I was a bit dubious  about buying them. The pictures of them looked so incredible though so I dived straight in a purchased them. Really at £28 there was no need to worry. The magical ASOS delivery arrived, I tried them on and it was love at first sight. These boots are amazing, they go with everything, jazz up even your average pair of jeans and the pointed toe is bang on trend! I highly recommend checking out Truffle Collection at ASOS for a bargain quality buy.

Oh hey there dream rocket bagI can’t express to you enough how much I love Skinny Dip London! I would have thought everybody would on heard of them by now but if you haven’t they are an amazing accessory brand. They have so many quirky items from furry phone covers to shell bags, seriously if you like life to be fun go to their site, even better if you’re in London go to their shop. I’ve been purchasing from them way before they set up shop in London and it has been wonderful to watch them grow. A few weekends back I was with my friends in the extremely Christmassy Carnaby Street (you have to go and check their lights out) so we popped into their shop. My friends hadn’t heard of this brand before but boy oh boy did they love it! I imagine Becky is still dreaming of that cute lady bag, go on buy it my love.

Well anyway I don’t have the powers of my friends, I’m weak and couldn’t resist a purchase. I was like a cocktail filled kid in a candy shop, and when I saw the rocket bag my magpie inner-self couldn’t have been happier. It’s so shiny, glittery and IT LIGHTS UP! He’d only been out on the street for a matter of minutes in this shoot and was receiving way to much attention. Yes I humanise bags!

I am loving my new Ray ban glasses, they are from Pretavoir, an online glasses company that sell every known brand of glasses / sunglasses known to man. The service is outstanding, i’m talking a turnaround of a matter of days from ordering prescription glasses to receiving them at my door. They respond to any queries you have straight away and the best bit? As they are online they offer amazing savings, i’m talking Ray Ban’s for under a £100! I am totally ordering my glasses purchases from here from now on, no more drunk airport purchases Siobhan. My husband says I look like Harry Potter in them, personally i’m taking that as a compliment, when I’m casting spells on him he’ll retract that statement. Anyway if your in the market for a new pair of glasses check them out by clicking the link.

I am really conscious your may have fallen asleep by now as i’ve blabbed on so much but I just love this outfit. Anyway i’ll wrap it up, its all finished off by a faux fur cossack hat from Accessorize, i’ve linked a different colour online (in the sale FYI) but they definitely have the cream in store if you like this look. Oh and how can a forget, a toned down Christmas jumper from Topshop, purchased many moons ago but hey its a keeper in my eyes.

I’m already excited to hear your thoughts.

Until next week,

Big Love,
