Faux fur love

Wahooooooo I am finally out of pyjamas and back in pretty clothes. I love that I am starting to feel like a human being again, how awesome is that? For my “Hey I’m alive” shoot I have dug out some old (forgotten) pieces and paired them with some amazing new purchases. I went a bit crazy in the ASOS sale but hey it was totally worth not being able to eat for a week or two (jokes).

Right, let me start with a confession, I am so in love with this faux fur coat from urbancode London. As soon as it came out of its ASOS box I knew it was the one. Not only is the colour absolutely stunning, it is also really amazing quality and to top it all off, it is in the ASOS sale! It’s still there, I’ve just checked so go quick to bag yourself a bargain. It is reduced from £259 to £85, how amazing is that? I have only recently discovered urbancode London and I am really enjoying what I see, yes I did purchase a few other things from them too. How could I not?

The dress is a super old purchase from Fearne Cotton for Very. When she first launched her brand I snapped up loads of cute vintage inspired tea dresses, which are standing the test of time.  I just love it when a new purchase reignites your love for a forgotten piece, such as this dress. It has been sat in my humongous ironing pile for an embarrassing about of time. Does anybody else buy new clothes instead of ironing? The beading and detail on this dress is to die for. I shall be whipping it back out come spring time, wearing it alongside ankle socks and some funky sandals. So lots of wear coming its way.

Oh how I long for the days of bare legs again, I had to go to whole hog and put proper woolly tights on. It is simply too cold out there. The clocks go back tomorrow which basically means it’s time to hibernate. At least they’re not black and have some interest about them. I’m praying that next week I’ll be able to be on secondment from them, as I grace Barcelona with my presence. If you have any tips on places to go in Barcelona please please comment below, I need inside information.

Thankfully the bottom half has been spruced up with these Chelsea boots, they are from Primark. If I was you I would snap them up in every colour available, if you see them. I bought them in grey last year and regretted not getting another pair by the time it had reached November. They are £18, super comfy and look more Topshop than Primark. I was lucky enough to grab a pair that were hiding in the back but apparently the burgundy are becoming an urban shoe myth. You heard it here first. ASOS have a similar pair here in case the rumours are true.

The accessories were kept to a minimum due to the amount of detail in the rest of the outfit. This Alice band was grabbed as a last resort because my hair wasn’t looking its best. It must be nearly classed as vintage, as I definitely bought it in Topshop in the 90’s before the 90’s were cool. I was always jealous of the children in primary school with ‘normal’ names, the ones that managed to have their names printed in glitter on a Alice band (you know the ones). I’m bringing it back, I love it! What do you think? Is the Alice band due a comeback?

I promise now my body has made a comeback, there will be another post very soon. Be sure to follow my adventures on Instagram and Snapchat if you don’t already and please comment away. I’ll be sure to get straight back to you!

Big love,
